Making your home the best it can be!

Did you know that according to the AARP website, 85% of people over the age of 45 want to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible? That is why more people are making modifications to their homes now to better suit their future needs.

Better lighting, no threshold entrances, and widened doorways are just a few of the changes that can be made to make your home more accessible for you and for your visitors. Dickson-Cato Homes knows exactly how to assess your home to find out how to make your home the best it can be.

Dickson-Cato Homes is proud to announce that Scott Dickson, our Vice President, has earned the CAPS designation from the NAHB University of Housing. He is the only person in Northeast Louisiana to earn this designation. As a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, Scott has the expertise to assess your home, recommend and design/build modifications that can help you continue living independently in your home longer.

Don’t leave these modifications to be done by any builder. Ask for a CAPS certification. Specific codes and standards must be met to ensure all safety precautions are in place. Only a CAPS designee has been specially trained to meet these codes and standards.
